Make+Think+Code Opened Spring 2017

Make+Think+Code is PNCA’s new research studio and lab centered on the intersection of art, science, technology, and design. MTC emphasizes experimentation with emerging technologies, (digital) fabrication, creative coding, data science and visualization, design-thinking, robotics, the internet of things, and smart technologies.

Art and Ecology, New Minor Starting Fall 2017

Develop a broad understanding of urgent and evolving ecological concerns in our new Art and Ecology minor. You'll learn how art and design can effect change and create dialogue, making you a part of the conversation and not just an observer.

The Art + Science Initiative at PNCA offers residencies, commissions, and grant awards to student artists for art and design projects in relation to science and the natural world. It also sponsor lectures, workshops, and field trips.

The BridgeLab Career Center is where students and alumni find help and support to build their careers as  working artists or designers. BridgeLab gives you access to: skill-building sessions, workshops, entrepreneurial development and training, and jobs and internships to help you gain valuable experience, build your professional network.

Laptop Software Program Starting Fall 2017

PNCA will be offering a free software program to all students staring in the fall of 2017 to give you instant access to the main programs you'll need to hit the ground running in all of your classes. Sofware included in this initiative are Adobe programs (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.), Microsoft platforms (including Microsoft Word), and drivers for common area printers and copiers. Through this program, you'll have access to these platforms anytime right from on your personal laptop.
