Monica Drake’s writing has been translated into Spanish, Italian and other languages. Her novel Clown Girl was optioned for film by Kristen Wiig (SNL, Bridesmaids). Drake is the recipient of an Eric Hoffer Book Award, an IPPY (Independent Publishing Book Award) and other honors. Her stories and essays have appeared in the Sun, Beloit Fiction Journal, Northwest Magazine, and Oregon Humanities Magazine, as well as in anthologies and various literary journals.

She is currently Lead Faculty of the BFA in Writing at PNCA.
She curates the Native American Voices speakers series in the spring semester.
