Michael moved from Seattle to PDX in 2013 and joined the college that fall as the PNCA/MoCC Event Manager. He has over 25 years of Event, Sales and Fundraising experience, having most recently served as the Senior Event Sales Manager for the 74-acre, Seattle Center Campus. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Seattle Repertory Theatre in the Operations, Development and Events departments. Raised in the Midwest, Michael earned a BFA in Theatre Design from Kent State University and once worked for Chita Rivera in her B-way production of ‘Kiss of the Spiderwoman’. Michael moved to the West Coast in 1995 and met his partner and Cornish College of the Arts Illustration graduate, Klint Keys. The two married in Seattle in 2012 and have two cats and a dog.
Annual Giving Manager
Jessy oversees the annual giving program at PNCA, which involves developing and managing a comprehensive, strategic, and integrated annual giving effort to build the base of individual and corporate donors and increase the level of support at PNCA. Prior to joining the wildly creative crew of staff at PNCA in the fall of 2013, she worked as the Donor Relations Manager at Portland Center Stage, managing the individual giving program there. Jessy serves as a Board Member of Signal Fire, an organization which provides opportunities for artists and activists to engage in the natural world and as a member of the City of Portland’s Arts Oversight Committee. In Jessy’s previous life, she studied Vocal Performance and Music Business at Southern Oregon University. After discovering her love for fundraising, she earned an Advanced Certificate in Nonprofit Development from the Institute of Nonprofit Management. She now lives in NW Portland with her partner and two cats, Hansel and Gretel. Jessy loves laughing, camping, karaoke, and reading sprawled out in the grass at a park on a sunny day.
Manager of Foundation Relations and Content Strategist
Killeen manages grantwriting and grant reporting for PNCA and for Museum of Contemporary Craft. She is a graduate of PNCA’s MFA in Applied Craft and Design (a joint program with Oregon College of Art and Craft), where she studied documentary, interviewing, and non-traditional narrative strategies. Before joining the Advancement Office, Killeen worked in PNCA’s Communications Office where she was Managing Editor of UNTITLED, PNCA’s online magazine. Killeen graduated from Stanford University with degrees in English and French and helped launch Stanford’s Spatial History Lab, where she researched historic cartography and railroad expansion in the 19th-century American West.

Melinda manages membership for Museum of Contemporary Craft, is an integral part of gift processing and acknowledgments, and leads special projects. As part of the PNCA Advancement Office since March 2011, she has coordinated two PNCA Benefit Art Auctions with Bonhams and managed gifts of artworks to PNCA. Prior to joining PNCA, Melinda earned her M.A. in Museum Studies at San Francisco State University, and worked at numerous museums including Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
