Summer of Making explores the confluence of art, design and craft practices while fostering a community of makers. This summer, we bring together the PNCA mission of excellence and innovation in arts education with the flourishing Portland DIY ethos of creating and community building by offering courses, workshops and events that explore craft, design and entrepreneurship

The program features a weekend Fabric Design workshop with internationally known fabric designer, author, illustrator and artist Heather Ross. Additionally, there are a number of four-day workshops on art and craft focusing on textile art and design and evening workshops on entrepreneurship and communication.
