The Pacific Northwest College of Art Communication Design program hosted an interview and presentation with musician and designer David Yow on April 8 in the PNCA Swigert Commons.
After an introduction by Aaron Draplin of “Draplin Design Co.”:http://www.draplin.com/ Paul Anthony of “Rumblefish”:http://www.rumblefish.com/index.php interviews Yow on Yow’s past as the frontman of Scratch Acid, The Jesus Lizard and Qui and his transformation to “the best photo-retoucher in the world.” Afterward, Yow gives a lively presentation of his photo retouching portfolio, accompanied with audience snacks.
To promote the event, PNCA Communication Design student David Roos and Draplin collaborated on a custom poster screenprinted by Pete McCracken of “Crack Press”:http://www.crackpress.com/. Yow autographed the posters for audience members following the interview.
