On March 7, Pacific Northwest College of Art Communication Design alumni will power through a range of designs in the live design competition, Cut&Paste Design Tournament 2009.

Portland judges include: Aaron Draplin, Rebecca Huston, PNCA Continuing Education Instructor Kat Topaz, Mark Searcy, and Jon Wexler, overseeeing 2D-ers; Craig Wollen, Stacy Dye, David Maddocks, Nike’s Howard Lichter, and Sean O’Connor, watching 3D-ers; and Manny Bernardez, Chris Hotz, Brad Johnson, Robert Lewis and Nando Costa, who will watch motion designers.
Last year, Hollomon won the 55DSL Logo Remix Challenge, part of the 2008 Cut&Paste Competition. Hollomon’s design will be featured in 55DSL’s 2010 spring/summer 10.55 limited edition collection. He also wins a cash prize of 1,055 € (about $1,321). 55DSL is a spin-off brand of Diesel, originally inspired by radical sports, according to its Web site.
