Explore the Artist's Book

Visiting Artslink Fellow Installation

Zoran Poposki, a transdisciplinary Macedonian artist, completes his month-long Artslink Fellow residency at PNCA with a performance and food installation titled “By Way of Introduction,” taking place November 12 at noon in the Swigert Commons.

The installation is aimed at collective participation and focuses on creating dialogue between individuals from different cultural backgrounds through food, web applications for communication and music.

Zoran Poposki is a transdisciplinary artist based in Skopje, Macedonia. His work has been presented in more than 40 exhibitions and festivals worldwide. In his videos, performances and digital prints, Poposki explores issues of identity, territory and public space. Poposki holds a Master of Fine Art in New Media from Donau Universitat Krems in Austria.

Duran Duran's Rio in MIDI

Artist-musician Andrea Merkx holds a lecture in the style of a performance on November 4 at 7:30 pm. While playing MIDI reproductions of the 80s pop hit “Rio”, she reviles the rigid restrictions of the MIDI format and examines its role in the transition to digital music.
