Workshop: Designing Our Digital Privacy Ecosystem
Tuesday, April 25 | 6pm to 9pm
PNCA, 511 NW Broadway

Organizer: PNCA, MFA Collaborative Design

Most of us benefit from sharing our identities with selected friends, businesses and service providers. In return for sharing our identities, we access “free” services, like email, news, consumer, financial and government services, and various web apps. Most of us don’t bother to read the fine print. Decisions about the use of our personal data are made by people we don’t know, in places where we have little access. Privacy policy is driven by a few well connected corporate, community and government players. What if we were to apply design thinking to a simple design brief, like: Create a digital privacy ecosystem that considers ease of use and security?

Open House: PNCA, MFA Collaborative Design
Tuesday, April 25 | 4pm to 7pm
PNCA, 511 NW Broadway

The MFA in Collaborative Design brings together a unique faculty of Portland’s working professional creatives with students who wish to continue working while expanding skill-sets and networks through late afternoon and evening classes. Participants engage in a variety of “wicked problems” from environment to social issues, with projects like SHIT (sanitation, hygiene and integrated technologies) to the future of creative economies. At this open house you’ll have an opportunity to view their current work.
