Happy Birthday: A Celebration of Chance and Listening

PORTLAND, OR – JUNE 12, 2012 – The launch of the 2012-2013 academic year finds The Feldman Gallery + Project Space at the Pacific Northwest College of Art opening its most ambitious exhibition to date. Happy Birthday: A Celebration of Chance and Listening marks the centennial of John Cage’s birth by tracing the long tail of influence of Cage’s ideas on sound and chance operations in visual art. The exhibition is curated by Mack McFarland, curator of the Feldman Gallery + Project Space and opens September 5 and runs through November 17, 2012. There will be an opening reception in the Feldman Gallery on September 5 from 6-8 pm.
TRUST: 2012 PNCA Alumni Exhibition

PORTLAND, OR – August 21, 2012 – Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) puts its great legacy on display through the work of its illustrious alumni in TRUST, the 2012 PNCA Alumni Exhibition. The exhibition opens Thursday, September 6 and will be on view through Sunday, October 21, 2012. There will be an opening reception Wednesday, September 5 from 6-8 PM in the Swigert Commons in PNCA’s Main Campus Building at 1241 NW Johnson. The Ford Family Foundation has provided major support for this exhibition.
