At Pacific Northwest College of Art, we believe in the power of art and creativity to transform lives.

The support of our growing community of donors helps make it possible for PNCA students to study and explore, to practice and make, and, ultimately, to become lifelong creative and critical thinkers.

giving gives back

Success through community support

PNCA students cultivate habits of the eye, the mind, and the hand through rigorous practice. They use the tools and concepts they learn in the classroom to make work in the studio and in the world.

Your gifts purchase equipment, books, and art supplies for our classrooms, provide critical funding for scholarships (last year alone, PNCA provided nearly $6 million in student scholarships), and support lectures and visiting artist programs that connect students to the world’s most important thinkers and makers.

It is your compassionate support that not only helps make our students successful at what they do, but gives them the freedom to explore information, processes, cultures and techniques that, ultimately, develop the habits necessary for becoming lifelong creative and critical thinkers.

Shape the future with us

Creativity is the key to a healthy future for all of us. And innovation is rooted in reimagining everything. This is what we teach and what we do every day at PNCA.

Throughout our 100+ year history, our faculty, staff, students, and alumni have been instrumental in shaping the cultural landscape of Portland, from the public art you see throughout the city to the galleries you visit and the arts institutions you enjoy.

We know that a PNCA education gives a student the critical lens and confidence to ask big questions, take big risks, and dare to make a difference in the world.

Thank you to all of our patrons

Your support of our students changes lives. Your gifts open the possibility of a world-class art education for students who might not otherwise have this access. Our students tell us: the support of our patron community helps set them on a path to realize their dreams.
