Located between Seattle and San Francisco in Portland, Oregon, PNCA offers rigorous programs in art and design where students learn to be critical thinkers as well as contemporary artists and designers.
What we offer to international degree-seeking students
PNCA offers Bachelor of Arts degrees, Master of Fine Arts degrees, and Master of Arts degrees.
Our programs for international students are open to anyone who currently resides or plans to reside in the United States on a non-immigrant visa while studying at Pacific Northwest College of Art. This does not include U.S. citizens living abroad, permanent residents (green card holders), or persons with asylum or refugee status.
If you have not yet completed a first university degree (equivalent to a 4-year U.S. bachelor’s degree), you should apply as an undergraduate student.
If you have completed a degree at university (equivalent to a 4-year U.S. bachelor’s degree) and want to earn a Master's degree, you will apply as a graduate student.

New York-based illustrator Subin Yang completed her BFA in Illustration in 2017. Her clients include Forbes, The Portland Mercury, XPlane, NPR, and Label Press. Her work has been exhibited widely, and her prints are carried at stockists including BuyOlympia, Hello! Good morning, and Palace.
Trung Bao is an innovative digital artist and beatboxer from Vietnam. He was 2017's World Beatbox Camp Champion and took 4th place at the 2017 Grand Beatbox Battle. He has performed internationally in Switzerland, Vietnam, Poland, and France. Trung's makes mindblowing motion graphics animations and has collaborated internationally with musicians and labels.Learn More
