Opportunities to show your work
Throughout the main campus building and beyond, PNCA has many galleries and project spaces for student exhibitions.
Student-run galleries and project spaces
Many of our galleries are run by a student coordinator who reviews proposals for exhibitions and schedules those exhibitions throughout the year. Galleries also host award and scholarship exhibitions by undergraduate programs and thesis exhibitions for both graduate and undergraduate students. In addition, during First Thursday, students are invited to install their work throughout the public areas of the building and sell their work through Pop-up Shops.
PNCA's main student gallery is on the first floor across from the central gathering space of the Atrium. Students can apply to produce exhibitions in this space throughout the year. The space also includes a side gallery that can be blacked out for projections.
Commons and Corner Gallery 1 and Corner Gallery 2
PNCA’s central New Commons is the site of PNCA’s annual thesis exhibitions and the First Thursday Pop-Up student exhibitions of student-installed undergraduate works. It has also been the site of the regional Scholastic Student art exhibitions featuring works by exceptional high school students. The New Commons also features two student galleries for undergraduate students’ works.
The central Atrium is an expansive daylit space surrounded by balconies that regularly is installed with student work.
