We're proud to announce that Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) has awarded PNCA's Animated Arts faculty, Rose Bond, with the 2019 Merit Award. The Portland symphony was desperate to revitalize an aging subscriber base with performance events that would engage a younger audience. The artistic director had heard of a concert that combined “animated video” performed with live orchestra and on the advice of the Development Director, contacted Rose Bond.
Rose Bond, artist, Lead Faculty in Animated Arts, and Director of the Boundary Crossings Institute in Animated Arts at PNCA, is giving a paper at Emergent Visions: Adjacency & Urban Screens Symposium in Singapore.
We'd like to congratulate Rose Bond, lead of PNCA's Animated Arts program and Foundations instructor, on her upcoming retrospective screening at the NW Film Center on December 7, 2018 at 7:00pm at the Portland Art Museum's Whitsell Auditorium.
