The Portland Art Museum recently installed Nan Curtis' FamilyTreePiles (2018) in the Northwest Contemporary Artists gallery on the fourth floor of the Hoffman Wing. Longtime PNCA faculty member, Curtis is the Program Director of Sculpture and Chair of Studio Arts.
We recently sat down with Kate Copeland, PNCA Dean of Academic Affairs, to discuss how 20 PNCA faculty members came together to develop a new hybrid approach to providing an art and design education that continues PNCA’s hallmark ability to prepare students for lives of creative practice.
