PNCA’s Illustration Program Ranked Top 50 Nationally by Animation Career Review
April 30, 2021
Pacific Northwest College of Art is proud to announce that its Illustration program has been ranked in the top 50 nationally, top 10 on the West Coast, and #1 in the state of Oregon by Animation Career Review (ACR).
ACR has ranked the top animation, design, and gaming programs across the country through annual lists for each state since 2011, and recently started ranking illustration programs in 2019. To determine its illustration lists, ACR reaches out to each school under consideration to determine academic reputation, admission selectivity, depth and breadth of the program, value as it relates to tuition and indebtedness, and employment data.
Among students, PNCA’s Illustration program is a popular one, and fuses the development of personal vision with rigorous professional practice for the responsive skill set required to flourish in a variety of creative markets. Our program’s underlying philosophy is experience and encounter, inviting students to deeply investigate the interplay of imagemaking, design thinking, and social engagement.
